Henry's Birth Story

I never thought I would have such a short and easy birth story to write so I am taking great pleasure writing this one.  I was scheduled to be induced on March 10th.  They called me at around 5:45am to tell me that I could come in.  Made it there around 6:30am.  Did some paperwork and got started on Pitocin around 8am.  Had contractions closer and closer together with no pain.  At around 10am my wonderful doctor came in and broke my water.  I had about 4 or 5 contractions that were decently painful and got my epideral- Oh wonderful epiderals!!!  We all hung out for about an hour and a half then my doctor did an ultrasound to see which way the baby's face was turned. Half an hour later I started pushing and 24 minutes later he was here!!!!  No tearing, no pain, healthy baby, amazing nurses, amazing doctor and the biggest recovery room in the hospital. We were very very very very very blessed!!!  I can't believe how smoothly and easily things went.

Henry has been the best baby and Josh has been the best big brother!!!  He loves our little Henry and always wants to be right up in his face:)  Henry is the best baby in the world.  I never knew a baby could be so easy.  Hopefully it stays that way after the three week grace period.lol.  I have been so lucky to have my mom and mother in law here to help!  I don't know what I would have done without them!  They have made my life so easy- taking Josh at night, doing laundry, cleaning, cooking, letting me take naps and a million other things.  The only thing that helps me know I'll survive when they leave is how easy Henry is.  Our little Henry nurses well, takes a bottle well and sleeps during the night and is awake some during the day.  He hardly cries and when he does he's pretty easy to calm down.  He's so calm and Pleasant that I can't get over the fear that something will happen to him.  I'm always checking to see if he's still breathing.  I'm not used to such a quiet little baby.  He's Mr. Pleasant himself.  We are so lucky to have him!!!
