So many times as siblings grow older their lives tend to move them apart from one another for any number of reasons. Of course we still love our siblings and have a special bond with them but life gets crazy and things just change as you take different roads. I've been thinking about this a lot last night and today. I am so lucky I am that somehow through a series of random but wonderful events my sister and I have had very similar roads the last several years.
My sister Sarah went to hair school in Sept 2006. I followed her to the same school Jan 2007.
She graduated Sept 2007 and I graduated Jan 2008.
Wyatt and I began dating in early July of 2008 and in Feb of 2009 My sister Sarah and a friend from Wyatt's mission started dating.
Wyatt and I got married Aug. 2009 and My sister and his friend Ryan got married Dec 2009.
Wyatt and I lived next to BYU and the two of them.
Wyatt graduated in April 2011. Sarah's husband graduated in Dec. 2011.
Somehow with all the applications on both sides to other states Wyatt got a job in Orem and Ryan got a job in Provo.
I had an adorable little boy and she had an adorable little boy.
Joshua just LOVES LOVES LOVES Indie. He thinks he's the greatest thing that ever happened. I have always hoped since becoming pregnant with Josh that he would have cousins that he was close to and just loved and loved and loved. I never knew if it would happen but I sure hoped.
There's just something about family isn't there? Something about family and something about sisters. I love all of my sisters so much!!! We are all so different and all so wonderful in our different ways. I am so so so lucky to have so many of them! Sometimes we drive each other crazy with our different personalities but the love of sisters is something you just can't deny. I just keep on thinking about how blessed I am to be able to live for so long as an adult next to one of them. It's not something that happens to many people and I love every minute I get to spend with her and her family. Ryan and Wyatt get along so well too. Added bonus. How often does that happen as a married couple? I know that it won't last forever but I'm sure enjoying my time with my sister. I love to see how much Josh loves her little Indie. Especially with this next little boy coming in a few weeks. I love the love I see in such a tiny little being and I can't wait to see what develops in their relationship. I hope that they can always stay close.
