Christmas

This year we had a little unexpected visitor right before Christmas. The flu. So fun.JK. We survived and still got the entire house clean and sanitized by Christmas Eve afternoon. Just in time. The day had a beautiful white snow. My little Christmas gift. Christmas Eve Night as we were still contagious we spent together with a nice pot roast dinner, the reading of the Christmas Story, Opening up our Christmas Pajamas and of course making gingerbread cookies for Santa and watching a movie. It was a different experience for sure. We're used to a lot of people and a lot of commotion. I think the hardest part was the fact that it wasn't planned. We definitely missed our families even though it was nice to start our own family traditions. I think it's easier to Celebrate Christmas with just us when we have a little more advanced notice.  Our families just have so much fun on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day it's hard not to miss them.  Christmas Day we opened our gifts- Let me just say how impressed I am by the presents Wyatt gets for me. He always manages to get me things that I absolutely LOVE, that I never would have thought to get for myself. He also manages to do it all the night before we leave for Cali or in this case the night before Christmas.lol. Something I am not brave enough to try.  We had a nice breakfast of Egg Casserole, Cinnamon Rolls and O.J.  That afternoon we got to go up to Roger and Mara's and see them and their family.  Some of our FAVORITE PEOPLE  in the entire world.  We sure love them.  We had so much fun at their house!!!  We just played and hung out and had a great great great time!!!!
Santa found us!!!

Josh's favorite- Chocolate

Trying to open his present while eating Santa's gingerbread cookie.

Watching the dark knight rises- Wyatt got it for me and I got it for him. Apparently we both like it.lol.

Next year I think I'm going to get a little more ready.lol.  I always forget about the pictures. Josh sure looks cute though:)

  1. I hope he is loving that radio flyer bumper car as much as Jack loves his. Word of advice: we've had it for over a year now (with daily use) and the batteries haven't worn out. Keep it on "demo" mode (there's a switch on the bottom) because in the other mode it's really hard to make the bumper car noises. :)

I as sad as it is haven't even put any in yet. I'm planning on it this next week though so your advice is perfect timing:)
