I have always thought that kids are usually potty trained between the ages of 2 and 3. Boys usually later than girls. So when a few of the girls from my ward started telling me that their 18 month old boy was potty training themselves, I was shocked. I'd never heard anything like that. So one day I thought it would be funny to put Josh on the toilet to see what he would do. He always wants to be big like Wyatt and I, so I wondered how he would react. I figured he would probably cry and get scared sitting his little bum on that big hole. He however thought he was big stuff. He didn't even want to get off but with no little seat for his bum, it was a little rough keeping him on. Yesterday, telling myself I was crazy the whole way to babies r us I walked over to the store and bought him a little toilet seat. He was so excited and wanted to carry it in his stroller with him. Still telling myself that I was crazy, we walked home. The whole way home, I'm Telling myself that even if I am crazy, there will be a time eventually that he will end up using it. We get home and wander around the house for a min. or two... then take Josh into the bathroom and set up his little seat and sit him on it. Almost immediately he pees into the toilet!!! How's that for a miracle? So of course I give him some chocolate chips and he thinks he's the coolest kid alive- which he is of course.lol. It'll probably never happen like that again, but it was great for a first experience at potty training!!! If only it was always that easy.lol.
